Few ships have passed the Strait of Hormuz in recent days. They used a waterway between Qeshm and Larak islands, probably closely monitored by Iranian forces. Ships moved out of the Persian Gulf, not in. It was reported that Iran charged up to $2M transit fee for free passage.
The majority of dots in the above short clip are ships which got stuck in the Gulf. It will take considerable time to get them out.
Trump mentioned yesterday that he got a major energy-related gift from Iran. It must be a prospect of opening the Strait soon. He’s of course afraid that he will be in real trouble. Why should Iran open the Strait? In terms of Trump’s diction, Iran has an unbeatable hand.
At the same time, Trump awaits about a thousand soldiers for a possible ground invasion. It is expected that they will be deployed in the next coming days to the Middle East.
