Currently, there is a power struggle in Iran. After the Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has expressed, in his 18th of June post on X, his critical view of the notorious MoU, the Assembly of Experts has apparently summoned President Masoud Pezeshkian to Qom to inform him (actually a warning) that it is a sin to ignore the approved, by the Supreme Leader, 10-point conditions for talk with the U.S.

Whether President Donald Trump’s tweet yesterday in which he announced that Iran requested a meeting which will take place in Doha, Qatar, today is again due to his old ailment (hearing voices) isnÄ’t clear yet. At least, Iranian officials have denied that there will be direct talks with the U.S. at the moment.

War propaganda, probably. Trump’s claim that eventually unfrozen Iranian assets will only buy American farm goods was met with sour sarcasm by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf already last week.

“America falsely claims our unfrozen assets will buy their agriculture. Interesting. The only crop we’re harvesting is what you planted: decades of mistrust. It’s organic, abundant, and homegrown. But apparently the US only exports GMO soybeans, broken promises and trash talks.”
